
Sujata Shiven is a distinguished translator and author who has made significant contributions to Hindi literature. She has translated works of prominent Odia authors, including Bipin Bihari Mishra, A.K. Mishra, Indulata Mahanty, and Phani Mahanty,
into Hindi, thereby bridging linguistic and cultural divides.
Among her notable translations is “Charu, Chivar Aur Charya,” an Odia novel translated into Hindi, which has been shortlisted for the KLF Book Awards 2024, underscoring her excellence in literary translation. In addition to her translation work, Sujata Shiven has authored original works, including “श्री रणछो ड़: Sriranachora,” a collection of poetry, and “वा सी पंछी : Migrant Birds,” a compilation of Haiku poems.
